Who says not eating meat is equal to not having fun foods for the kids? There are many delicious snacks that can be made for your little ones and just the perfect size for their chubby little hands. Sausage rolls are an all-time favourite…and easy to make.
1 Can of Butter Beans
1 cup of walnuts (if nut allergy, use 1 cup of lentils)
2 tbsp of tamari soy sauce
2 tbsp of ground flaxseed
2 tbsp of vegetable oil
1 tsp each of paprika, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, garlic salt
Puff pastry (premade cuts down on prep time significantly)
1. Mix all together until all the ingredients are combined.
2. Cut puff pastry in half. Place vegan ‘meat’ in middle of the pastry, then fold over. Use a fork to close the pastry and brush top of each pastry with oil.
3. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 200° or until golden brown.
